Think Before You Share
Many times, the media use strategies to manipulate us. For example, some news shows images that are very shocking just to get attention. They also use emotional words or only show one side of the story. This gives us only one perspective.
A friend told me she read a news article that blamed a group without proof.
This is dangerous. Information that is not clear can create hate or even persecution. So, what can we do?
We can develop media literacy. This means we learn to understand, think and ask questions about what we see online.
A person who thinks before sharing is more responsible.
It is important to ask:
- What words do they use?
- What is the goal of this message?
- Who wrote this?
My teacher said we must check information before we share it.This helps us avoid lies and injustice. The world is better when people think with care, isn’t it?
